¨My three months as a volunteer at Caras Alegres in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala, were an unforgettable experience. On my very first day, I remember meeting children full of energy, curiosity, and joy.
I initially came to Caras Alegres to write reports about the organization's talleres workshops. These sessions quickly became one of my favorite parts of the experience and helped me better understand the realities and challenges the children face in their daily lives.
Being a volunteer at Caras Alegres was, above all, about sharing. Every day was an opportunity to connect with the children through play, conversations, and learning together. This experience has left me with unforgettable memories and a deep appreciation for the incredible work of Caras Alegres¨
