Fortaleciendo Juntos is a community training project by Asociación Caras Alegres that aims to strengthen skills, leadership, and knowledge within the Cantón Xeúl community to improve social well-being and quality of life. The project focuses on empowering children, youth, parents, staff, and community leaders to actively participate in solving local problems, managing projects, and promoting sustainable community development.

While Caras Alegres already provides structured training to children and youth (direct beneficiaries), this initiative expands the impact by intentionally including parents, siblings, and other community members as indirect beneficiaries. Involving the whole community is key to achieving long-term, sustainable change.

The project includes hiring a dedicated trainer responsible for identifying community needs, planning and delivering training, defining roles, and evaluating progress through surveys and other tools. The trainer supports continuous learning, motivates participation, and ensures alignment with evolving community needs, ultimately improving the quality and impact of the Association’s work.
